Hi All,

There is a funny story to finding the cufflinks. On Tuesday night I watched HeavyMetalNut's video's he had posted. In the video was a nice set of cufflinks and I said to myself you know in over 20 something years of detecting I have never found a complete cufflink, so I said to myself that is one of my goals for the rest of the year. I saw it was going to be a nice day the next day. So I thought I would go hunt a 1700's house that has been good to me. Well it was a short hunt but I couldn't believe it just a day after making the goal out pops a complete cufflink. They are not to fancy but I will take them. I don't know age at all so if anyone does would be great to hear. I also dug 1945 Washington Quarter and a 1944 Mercury Dime. Overall not a bad short hunt. Thanks for looking.

7.jpg that colonial fork is rare too

That is a nice set of finds!

I often wonder if we control our feet by what we're looking for out there. I know, I know, I could think silver all day long and not ever see any. :) But, maybe, a specific, like earrings? Maybe it's a bit of dowsing involved? :)

Nice saves!
HH!

Finding a complete set of cufflinks would definitely make my day. Great save.

Nice set of colonial cufflinks! I find those octagonal types on sites from the 1750s - 1780 or so. After that the oval ones seem to have come into vogue. They may date even earlier than 1750s, my area only dates to the French & Indian War (mid 1750s).

Sweet coins, congrats and HH!

I agree on cufflinks being a very good find, a set of them from the 1700s is always a good find.

Congrats on some nice finds. I like the cufflinks.. I have yet to find my first set.

Thanks Steve for the info. So usually if you find them in this shape it is good chance to be 1700's?

Hey Evolution here is the secret, go watch HeavyMetalNut's video, then say you are going to make a complete set of cufflinks one of your goals. Then you go detecting the next day :laughing7:

Great finds.. I especially like the Washington and the merc.. Congrats..
