Dug this Virginia Civil War staff cuff button yesterday. The bench mark is from Scovill Mfg Co Waterbury CT. The ribbon on it runs from 9 o'clock through 6 o'clock to 3 o'clock and reads "Sic Semper Tyrannis" thus ever to tyrants. It depicts Virtus standing over Tyranny. Dug at six inches. Best I could do on the pictures.
