Hello everyone,

I was out Sunday morning with my ctx3030, it was a beautiful day overcast not too hot a little bit of rain. My partner Dave and I were hunting private property which of course we have permission. Right near his sidewalk which I have gone over with fisher f75, I got a nice signal on my minelab ctx3030, 12-46 to 13-46. At a depth of 6 inches I found this 1945 university Catholic club metal. I was wondering if anyone knew anything else about it? On back it says G.F. and I believe L.C.C. initials. Iam thinking G.F. stands for gold filled. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, that's a really cool medallion! I like it!

Very nice medal. Congrats!

Very nice. I'm guessing gold filled as I would think gold would ring up as more of a mid-tone, whereas the numbers you state are generally silver/lead/aluminum etc.

I'm interested to learn what you dig up on this piece.
