CTX 3030 metal detector

Hi everyone

my husband got me CTX 3030 metal detector as a gift since I want to metal detect around my home area of connecticut. He got me all three coils for it. I been unable to us it since i had left shoulder surgery and i am left handed. My plan once i feel better and get out there I love to hit the beaches with it. In my area that we live we have old schools that are close down even there one house school house not far from us that I love to go metal detecting with it. Our plan is when my husband retire from his job this year is buying a trailer and truck and going to be on road for over 2 years. During that time frame I be metal detecting as many places as we can. I love the beach and i cant wait till i get to a beach to use it. My question is does allot of people enjoy this metal detector. I been reading and playing with it but I admit it been hard one to learn for me as well. It not simple one to use for sure. But once I feel better I cant wait to try it. Plus have fun with it .

It's the best machine made for a "do everything" detector in my experience. Just start with standard coin or beach program and don't make a lot of changes all at once. Get the Proswing harness if you plan on using the 17" coil. It is a monster to swing and keeping lower rod in where you maintain proper angle is also helpful. Look in owners manual for the correct setup on that. Pm sent on more advice.
