Anyone know if the CSI Pro can be used near salt water like the AT Pro.

I would guess it is similar the ATpro with a different screen and less options like Pro mode when comparing the two screens.
So it's a dumbed down ATpro made for a specific function. But that is a guess.
Not many people on this forum have them because they are made for crime scene investigations mainly for finding bullet casings so you have slim pickins of getting an answer from someone who has one and knows how to use it properly

Your best bet would be to call Garrett directly and get the answer right from the source.
They have great customer service and would happily answer your question.

Did email Garrett directly to enquire if the CSI Pro could be used in creek and waterways where they join the salt water ocean.
So far there have been no reply.............which is not unusual.
Not to worry............One CSI Pro is shipped and on it's way..........when here I'll try it out and know for sure.............there is nothing like first hand experience.

The answer is sort of. You can use it, but your depth will be cut in half and it will chatter unless you drop the sensitivity to nothing.

CSI Pro have arrived..........with inclusions..........nice!..........for some unknown reason I can not start on a new line or attach a picture in a normal way so what will show is a somewhat bizarre looking post....................I shall return later to see if it can be rectified by editing.

............as said bizarre..........anyway the CSI Pro is doing real fine on our coinage and is also sweet on tiny gold trinkets and the like.............ivanll
