It looks like a more recent decorative pin, based on a Confederate belt plate. Better photos would help with a more definite ID though. Cool find!

Yes it does look to new. I thought it might have been worn by reenactment person. Found in front yard of local home.

I think he even came with a little metal CS belt plate.


It looks like you can also buy doll sized CS belt plates separately.
