CS Nose Cast 3 ringer mini

Hi,
Question for the experts out there. I was attempting to identify a couple minis I found and noticed my book,A Handbook of Civil War Bullets and Cartridges, listed a CS "nose cast" mini 3 ringer. Why is it designated "nose cast"? And, I guess the next question would be how were they formed or molded.

The bullet molds that were used during the CW had the opening in different places.Some of the lead was
poured where the nose of the bullet was,some was poured from where the side was and some poured
where the bottom would be.Here is a link if you scroll down you will see some different cast bullets.
