I went to the beach again Friday evening and hunted til 11:30 pm. It was a beautiful evening, cool temperature , full moon provided plenty of light and hardly anyone on the beach. I found a bunch of clad and a silver(?) religeous token/pendant. The following morning I hit the beach again and saw 4 other detectorists. One was wearing a "Shark Pit" T-shirt which I , of course , recognized the logo. I spoke with him for a while sharing hunting stories and exchanged contact info since he only lives 30 mins away and is also an avid CW relic hunter like myself. His screen name is "VERG" on some other treasure websites. I had found some more clad , a "NO CASH VALUE" token and told VERG i was going to hunt about another hour and try to find some gold. He left 10 mins later and 5 mins after that, I got a decent signal and BAM , there it was...a gold ring with a marquis cut blue stone. I hunted another 45 mins or so trying for another piece of gold , but only got more clad and junque. The ring has inscribed on the inside 10K-P and a jewelers hallmark. Does this mean the ring is only plated?
I left the beach and headed home to attend the country auction. The auctioneer had called me to let me know he had coins for sale. I ended up buying some half dimes, half cents , flying eagle pennies, large cents and 2 cent pieces.

Full moon didn't help us, we have had nothing but rain and clouds. Nest full moon I'll hit a local beach.
