That's a WONDERFUL token! Maverick, but one of the BEST mavericks I've seen anywhere.

It's a common themed token and think this was handmade for a friend... or wanna-be friend. A maverick (I know you hate that term - LOL) and prolly from the 20s - 50s.

They were given away as prizes for games at county fairs between 1890 and 1930, when county fairs had kissing booths. If you did not have a token a kiss could cost anywhere from a quarter to a dollar.(only the pretty girls could get a dollar for a kiss), Tony

PS: This is an early one! The newer ones were done by machine, this one appears to have been done by hand.
