I asked Dad to do a scouting mission on a new field, it looked good as we drove pass. After about 1.5 hours he only found a few good signs.

Best find - Medieval Box Mount.

We will continue on our better options, but at least we now know. We need to take a few risks, to get the next hotspot.

We do the same thing. It's hard to not "see sites" everywhere. There have been lots of fields that I've looked at in the past on a drive by, thought they'd be great, and they were a waste of time...and others that I thought would be pointless, that held amazing finds!

Thats the point, it looked good but isn't that good. At the moment. However this year, our worst fields have produced the best finds
