Having it survive in one piece for 1500+ yrs is great, can't imagine how many times it had been turned in the soils. Very nice recovery indeed, congrats.

Cru Dad kills it....again! So Cru...question: my mother was born and raised in Falkirk...I have virtually half my family tree there and was wondering what detecting laws/bans/rules and regulations they might have there if and when I visit in the future. Thank you in advance..Ddf.

Scotland has completely different Laws than England, so its best to read about them, as I have very little knowledge;

After you have navigated all the Laws to do with finding & reporting, you then have to consider all the Laws around removing it from the Country & taking it home, which will include applying for an Export Licence, a process that takes about 4 weeks.
