Me and my ol lady searched bout 80$ of dimes and 20$ of quarters ( Canadian) turned up some nice 50 % silver for the horde



Nice haul I thought. All 1968 though, Last year for Canadian silver.

Other than the 68s silver in circulation is pretty scarce, but it does show up from time to time

I do find the odd old nickel from time to time, although not valuable, they are still a good a "find"as any

Very Cool!...My first year Detecting i found a 68 Canadian Quarter and was happy to hear it was still silver!

some 68s are silver, some are nickel, it was a year of transition from one metal to the other

The only reason i knew mine was silver was because it came silver out of the ground...Im sure there is a weight difference or something

use a magnet, silver won't stick, nickel will

I'll have to check if they're silver some how I guess. I also dug a 68 quarter yesterday.
