I hunted a similar site just south of Municipal Beach, Plattsburgh, N.Y.
It is part of the wooded area of the park and is loaded with tons and tons of trash from the 50's and 60's. I imagine in 100 years, some treasure hunters will consider it a goldmine.

Measure the round ball. If you can weigh them it will help. You never know whet you will find in a place like that.

Thanks for your reply Tony. The ball is about a half inch in diameter and fairly heavy

I see what looks like a snap hook, 2 flat type freeze plugs, part of a banjo fitting, and a broken key. The one square shaped item might be a moulding clip from a vehicle.

Thanks cuda, do you think the ball is a musket ball?

If it's lead, probably. You would need to get an accurate measurement of the diameter.
