Me and little digger found a late 1700s cellar hole way out in the woods---heres our first finds. the bell is cool with makers initials--B W-- the flat button has a design but worn, nothing on back that i can see, pics were hard to get of it, design reminds me of a french coin--any info is great. i also found a trash pit loaded with broken china that i will get pics of today--------- CELLAR HOLE FINDS-CROTOL BELL 014.JPGCELLAR HOLE FINDS-CROTOL BELL 015.JPGCELLAR HOLE FINDS-CROTOL BELL 020.JPGCELLAR HOLE FINDS-CROTOL BELL 019.JPGDFX 002.JPG-Petal BELL WBarton.jpg THE LAST PIC I FOUND FROM LINK BELOW ON PETAL BELLS, WILLIAM BARTON IS THE MAKER--THANKS GUYS !! Looks like a good site, nice finds

Man that's cool. Sometimes those cellar holes are tough to find/identify. Nice work!

That's a great bell, I've found at least 20, and only 2 have makers marks.

No help on the button.

I agree a bad day of digging is much better than.....a lot of things.

And BTW I had a much worse day today than you.
