I need to learn how to crop images before I post them to save disc space. There used to be instructions on how to do that but I cant find them. I want to try again to learn this. I have Paint, Irfanview, and probably a few others with Windows XP.
Any help?

I have windows XP, what I do is open the folder that has the pics I want to crop. When that folder opens you will see one big pic displayed and your other pics are down below. Go thru your pics until the one you want is the big pic. Right click on it and then click edit. The pic should open in Microsoft Paint. Click on the image tab on top then click on stretch/skew. Change the horizontal to 50% and change the vertical to 50%, click ok and remember to save changes when you are prompted. Hope that's what you were looking for.

No, unfortunately it is not. I am able to move my file into Paint but the method you desribe only reduces the entire physical size. I need to crop. I need to remove the unwanted parts of a picture to save disc space.
Im sure someone can help. I will wait. :)

Thanks justgeese. When I get a chance I will try it.

Ok. I noticed that I have "Nero Photosnap Viewer Essentials SE" and it is very easy to use and it has "crop."
Thanks everyone for the help, but this is the best way to go that I found. I just left click my picure in "My Pictures/My Documents" and "Open With" "Nero Photosnap Viewer Essentials SE." I then click "edit" and the rest is self-explanatory. ;D
