Hello friends and fellow treasurehunters. Decided to revisit one of my old haunts the other day, and as they say, no place is ever hunted out. The site is very old and dates back to the French and Indian War days (circa 1750's), The foundations are the remains of the Blue Mountain Hotel (circa 1784). Got 2 croatal bells and a worn 1899 Barber Dime about 2 feet in front of the steps and this real neat "INTERNATIONAL MOTOR CO BODY BUILDERS ALLENTOWN PA USA" face plate. All in all, had to work for everything, but was a good day. Thanks for looking............Rich

Thanks Jim, it's just off the Appalachain Trail, not State Game Lands though. no signs anywhere. Countless others, and Jeff, Mike and I have been up there many times.

Nice Crotal Bells Rich

Nice job! I remember your post from last time. Glad you did better.
Those old VLF detectors must have really worked well. All those old sites are so stingy to give anything up.
Amazing out of an entire hotel and that is all that is left. Seen so many old sites and there is like a block left like that.
Makes you wonder.

I keep seeing people dig these awesome bells, and I have never dug a single one! They are very interesting and I hope to find one someday. Yours are great!

Me neither, but I think it would be a mid tone/brassy metal, and that is probably why I have not.

Man, you are a long way from Shamokin.
