I really don't do dimes myself, but, which do you prefer finding, Mercs or Roosies??

I know I would get more excited getting a Merc back in change. I was comparing prices yesterday. Monex guy called me, said they have the best prices. I was thinking BS, but actually they do have cheaper SAE's than APMEX. The downside is, minimum purchase is 100 OZs (which may be could info for any of you big time buyers).
In comparing prices, I noticed APMEX $500 face bags of Mercs cost more than Roosies, but $100 face bags of Roosies cost more than Mercs :dontknow: :icon_scratch:

Mercs so I can check for key dates. It took me 28 Roosevelts before I found 1 Merc in a roll.

Mercs definitely more popular, but harder to get when roll hunting.
On a related note,
I've dug close to 100 in the last couple years, my first dug silver was a merc; I'm really more surprised when I dig a silver rosie, they aren't as common as mercs. ffd

Everything is relative to something , mercs are cooler , rosies are more often in better condition.

When selling to dealers who weigh them -rosies have less wear , hence get more money.
If selling to non dealers - mercs can often get a higher premium.

I would love to get a merc, it's a no brainer, 1964 JFK half or franklin half? of course the choice would be franklin half!!! Unfourtinately I gave up dimes after 15 boxes and only 6 silver roosies, and I got shorted(then refunded) on dimes which were counted as pennies.
