CRH a 1000 wheat cents

I thought it meant you were going to track how long it took to pull 1000 wheats from rolls.

Good luck with the bag!

Not a bag price. Just eBay it when you're done. Hope you score!

3.5 cents apiece equals $1.75 a roll, not bad. hopefully you get some pre 1940 Wheaties. if you do, see if you could buy more from the guy.

It was pretty good. I had 10 or 15 1943 cents. I had a bunch from the 30's, 20's, and teens. I had 3 from 1909 but no VBD. There was several s mint marks. If I have time I will do a complete break down tomorrow.

That's a good price considering u got some earlier/better dates and some steal cents. I bought a big bag of about 3,500 wheats on ebay last year with some earlier dates for about .04 each. It had some culls including 2 IH's and a few red and reb/brown coins from the 40's and 50's but most of the coins were avg cir. I wasn't CRHing much at the time so I guess I just wanted some coins to search.

I hope you have some good finds, but since you knew you were buying at a set price above face then I wouldn't call it crh. Don't forget to look for doubling and rpms.

Just to play devils advocate some of us pay a couple cents over what a roll cost just to get the rolls.

I bought a bag of 1000 wheat cents for $35. I'll post what I find.

This does count as CRHing, right?

Kind of...Sort of...
It is a little different.
You can't simply dump the coins you don't want at a bank, without taking a loss.
Since you can likely dump the 1940-58 wheats for 3-4 cents each on ebay or craig's list, it was a low risk purchase.
