To me it looks like an old cold cream, tooth powder or some kind of cosmetic jar. Old Ponds cold cream jar lids had a crest like image on them, but it's not like yours. My thoughts are the crest is a product brand logo on your item as it looks stamped and not engraved. Is there any markings on the bottom of the glass jar?

No markings the bottom I'm thinking a powder jar from the 1900s. I found it in a park / old school from the 1900s. At first t though the lid was silver
