Creepy purse

I got this at a yard sale - Is it for holding Rosary beads or something ?

I think that represents the "Lamb of God" being sacrificed for our sins? But I haven't an earthly clue what the purpose of the little purse is. Monty

Looks like something my daughter has from when she received her FIRST HOLY COMMUNION....it was to place her rosary beads in. Her's is all white though...is that pocket where the lamb is? If so, I say yes..it held rosary beads at one time.

Yes , there is a pocket behind the Lamb , and one behind the JHS .

its the symbolic "lamb" of god -- jesus being killed for our sins -- it is indeed a rosary holder

That little girl is now a grown woman (Linda Blair) and is the host of: THE SCARIEST PLACES that comes on Tuesday nights....

That was ONE MOVIE I regretted seeing back in 73 or was it 74.....then my dau had to see the remake....she did not listen to me as I did not listen to my mother!!! She regretted it too!

Sometimes they'd give you a book to "read along" with the Mass with the Rosary too. You get the little purse on your First Communion day and keep it with you that day, it's part of the 'outfit'. Like a bride keeping the veil on at the reception after a wedding. I still have mine, but it was plastic.

My daughter has a book with hers too...her's is a little white cloth purse.

The pocket behind the lamb is where it appears the rosary was kept and the pocket behind the JHS is most likely where a phamplet/small book was with prayers you say with the rosary.

Nothing creepy about it at all

PS:...think my little light needs a dusting LOL
