I live near a creek and wanted to do some Indian artifact hunting. Where I would be hunting seems like a perfect spot for arrowheads. The area where the water is shallow is only a few hundred yards away from where the creek empties into the river. Will it be easy enough to find arrowheads in this area? Would they be wedged between rocks? Thanks for your help.

I have hunted some creeks when I lived in west Virginia and had good luck at it. The main thing is to move slow they can be any where, down in the rocks, sticking out of the bank or in plane view. Some times all you can see is just a small piece of it so know what kind of rocks and shapes to look for and take a stick with you to turn rocks over or pry them out of the bank. It takes more Patience than metal detecting, I'm no expert this is just the way I find them. Good luck!

good luck Kirk. I am still looking for my first creek find after 2 yrs. Sonny

Creeks are like fields keep looking till you find one that produces artifacts around here its the smaller creeks with sandy bars that produce good luck...
