The big, red one was in a field. I’m guessing it is red chert. I couldn’t resist rescuing it. I don’t find many like it in this location.
The tree is 3” tall for size comparison.
The other items were from the creek.
They are various stages of Indian Paint Pots. The bottom one is so thin, it appears to be hammered copper.
The grandkids love looking at this stuff. 👍🏼

I believe your paint pots are natural iron ore. The paint pots I’ve seen in the past are very different.
But it’s always fun to get out and look.

That might be. I found a few years ago. Was told they were paint pots. That info could have very well been wrong.👍🏼
