CraZy Stone Relic Thing????

I Found This In The Woods. At First I Thought It Was A Large Sharpening Stone
Its 1 1/2" Thick 8" Wide and 10" Tall It Is A Very Soft Stone. Kinda Sparkley.
It Scratches Easily. Please Help?? I Have NO IDEA

Bedwarmer is a good guess, and it may be, but I thought I would bring up another possiblilty, that of a 'fireless cooker'
Think of it as the 'crock pot' of the past. http://www.journalofantiques.com/images10/firelessdiagram.jpg My dad tells me of one that my grandmother had, it was sort of like an aluminium ice chest, but it had places where you inserted blocks of soapstone that you heated up in your oven. The food to be cooked was placed in the chest, the lid closed and six or 8 hours later, your food was cooked, it could be taken out in the trunk of the car to the park, beach, etc. and provide you with a hot meal with no fire. Unfortunatly this item along with many other interesting things fell victim to the WW-II scrap drives.
