Haa..I2H, in the oven for 10 more mins.Tater wedges/fries & gravy done, smelling unreal!...I'm drooling too! hahaa.

Lucky you! I'm very fond of whitefish!

Well, just say..Wow!..did I fill my craving! Lol..Damn great flavour..all of it.
And, just wanna say... this awesome food/dinners cost $0.00/ nothing bought from a store. (minus couple cents worth cooking oil & a few shakes of spice)..onions, green breans and potatoes..All grown, meat/fish, right from the water. No solid food 'payed for' in a grocery store!.. (would of shown my cast iron full of 1" inch thick deer steaks, but wolfed them down earlier today)...LOL

That's delicious looking...What you do just walk out your back yard out on the ice, punch a hole in it and catch a nice fish like that in the middle of a Canadian winter?

That's pretty darn sweet to be able to do such a thing.

I never guessed those were any good to eat, we always catch a few walleye fishing, and throw them back.....

Oh yeah GM, fresh/freshwater Whitefish is wanted in restaurants all over.
And up there with the best smoked fish!

OMG yes! those are awesome and delish to eat- smoked or otherwise. Been a chef for @ 30 years, and the tide has changed so far as attitude toward edibles. .. So to speak. ;) I envy that dinner. Big time!

True Yakker! :) I've smoked my own for years, But I like to hit the bush and collect/use my own 'prefered' woodchips and bark (Oak, Maple, Apple & Cherry trees). Biggest surprise was how good the Lake Trout taste smoked!
