Crap for finds...poor way to end the year...

I got out for a few minutes today. With no real time and no close sights resaerched up, it was catch-as-catch can. I visited an old church that is doing some renovation and has cleared about 4" of topsoil. The pile of dirt they piled up is about 8-9 feet high. Unfortunately, it seems as if every piece of iron and steel ever smelted was in that pile! It was constant stream of beeps and honks and just one big ALL METAL blob. No SENS reduction or DISC adjustments would help. It is a great candidate for sifting , but metal detectors seem to not like it much.
I did eyeball a few tidbits, though. I got a 'SUMTER" (SC) Coke and an old ketchup bottle. Also picked up were the jar lid and screwdriver-looking-handle-thingy in the pic. I gotta go back to work hard after NewYear, so I will have to let this one go, although Ill keep an eye on it.
The few coins came from a quickie fly-by from a local pocket-park. I also got a little Narmia charm that I forgot to put in the pic ;D
Ah well, another year is born.
