Ad said,,Free!! All the pine straw you could ever need. Must take it all. Give it to your friends and family for landscaping.
Bring rakes, bags and enough people to collect approx. 1/2 acre of pine straw.

Translation,,Wanted!! Free labor to rake my yard and haul away the debris.
Pretty good deal for the home owner,,but do you think people actually respond to these?? Same ads out for black walnuts,,they make a huge mess in the yard. Now,,You got pecans?? CALL ME!! I`ll rake those,,yeah buddy.
Just thought I`d share the ad with you guys, I thought it was a hoot.

See this happening all of the time...

Like free cow, horse and sheep manure...great for fertilizing your rose gardens...you shovel and haul away...

Or free oak firewood...you cut and haul away...drive up Orchard Lane and it's the yellow house with the wind fallen oak in the front yard...

It's like I have a garage full of useless junk which You could happily donate to the Goodwill...instead have a garage sale and let some schlubs buy and haul your trash...

It still a barter system as long as each party is satisfied with the bargain...

So what's your point?

absolutely ! after the switchover to propane heat, & had a ton & a half of coal in my cellar .
I put an add in the local paper pay me $45.00 , you can hall it out the cellar. Took less then 24 hours for a response,
an elderly couple came & spent the morning cheerfully filling & carrying buckets
to their truck. they not only took the coal, they swept the bin out & took every tiny piece
of coal dirt

I also had a ton or more out back spread over a large area. some of it very large lumps
had to be broken up to move, were put there by a front end loader years ago.
I gave it to the struggling neighbor kids up the road. spent their free time one year,
driving down and filling buckets, till they had it all.

I see allot of Free firewood, Tree still standing, you cut, and haul ads & I bet they all get fast takers.

Especially in the fall after the first cool down.

People only get lazy when there is nothing in it for them :tongue3:

Here's a typical, yet humorous, "Free 4 Nuttin" ad in Craigslist...

[h=2]free trampoline[/h]
Date: 2012-03-15, 9:37PM EDT

Ok, here's the deal-

This is a FREE trampoline. It had the enclosure netting and worked fine, although the padding and plastic around all of the springs had weathered and got shredded pretty well. Over the course of the winter (I think the week before the super bowl that we had a day with such strong winds), the trampoline was literally lifted out of our back yard over our 5' fence (and maybe not quite lifted fully because it knocked the corner post) and blew it into our neighborhood pond.

What you may do is use a very long rope or something to get it out of the pond from the road as I cannot permit you to drive in someone else's yard as it was carried into the pond 2 lots over. Once it is out of the pond, you may disassemble it and carry it out.

If this is of any interest to you, please let me know and I'll give you further details.
