This field was one we got permission for only a few weeks ago. The reason I wanted to get back on it, was so we could get enough finds to get the ball rolling with the new owner. Most of the stuff we found already I would be happy for him to keep.
We spent 3.5 hours, I quite enjoy the change with the grass & I like listerning for those 10 inch+ signals, you know it's old on an unploughed field.

Medieval Annular Buckle
Medieval Strapend (Type I need)
Victorian Sash Buckle with Gilt
17th C Rose Leather Mount
Dandy Button
Bits...

It's very good to be able to hit Medieval in a never ploughed field.8-)

Great finds!

I really like the Victorian sash buckle ! - though I know that it's "modern " among the rest of the goods .

Nice stuff Cru. Really like that sash buckle. How often do you dig unploughed fields just out of curiosity? You use a Deus correct

Amazing how good the finds can be from unplowed fields. The strapend is a type i never seen before....

Looks good. I like the "Dandy Button"

beautiful and awesome finds!!

Another great hunt !!!

That is a lot of nice finds..... I always get the urge to go detecting when I see your posts !!!

Congrats once again !

Never pouched and the stuff is in good shape. Nice hunt hope the landowner is happy and you dig lots more.

I assume you mean a never ploughed field? If so, we hardly ever do this type of land, it normally doesn't turn up much of the older stuff. However, if we are starting a new farm & that's the only field they allow us on or if it's a time of year with no other choices we will do it.

I can't afford a Deus & my Goldmax Power with 11" coil is near as damn the same capability.

Once before I croak I would like to detect across the pond. Congrats on some fantastic finds (at least in my book). Love the sash and that dandy button.
Cheers,
Doug
