Went back to the 1840's homestead again today.
Brought my sifter and detector as I wasn't sure what to do, saw a area of grass that the cows have been eating so I ended up detecting.
I love this site as its peaceful and up in the country, but the finds have been getting scarce, so I was trying to dig some iron out of the way to see if it was masking anything good.
Ended up digging a couple old iron axe heads, would love to get a date on these. I'm really liking the one on bottom.
Also dug what I think is my first clay marble. Posted it earlier in the Marbles section and hoping to get an id on it.

Got a small button. The cufflink end and the heart were in the same hole, and I am starting to think the heart may have been the other end to the cufflink.
Also dug a spoon handle, and a small round brass item that might be a lid to something-really thought it was a coin or button at first.
