I've found several of these but not sure just what it used to be. Apparently, brass. The eyelet is inserted in it's hole and is still loose.

Also, apparently brass/bronze. Even the spring is Non magnetic.

Any ideas? :dontknow:

The hollow round ring. I would agree with vhs but I find them once in a while and always one.
Found one last week in a small area that had lantern parts around it.

The bottom one has the character of an old icebox latch.

I believe that your latch type item is a window latch. Maybe made by Union Brass Co in Chicago. Late 1800's, early 1900's is the possible time period.

The brass thing is definitely an icebox/pie cubbard latch. My parents have one in there kitchen has many of this type latch on it.
