Couple of things, need advice on how to clean.

Hey all, was just cleaning up my back yard again and I found a couple of things that I can't really identify, I know I may not get an identification of the round object but if anyone has any tips on how to possibly clean it up a little would be great, I have cleaned it off as best as I can with a toothpick and I do see small details in it on the front and back. It looks as if it may have been a pin at some point as there is two little nobs on the upper edge but not sure at all. Hopefully my fingers give a rough estimate on it's size.
The rock thing is just a little odd, looks like hematite but has barely any weight value to it, almost like it's filled with air. Any suggestions?

I think that your round piece is a knock out from a metal electrical box and your black piece might be coal. Keep hunting. Good things are coming

If you weren't sure what an electrical knockout is here is a pic before being knocked out of a electrical box The black rock thing could be coal/slag glass or maybe obsidian.
