Nice stuff !!!!

Virginia ?

In the last in situ picture, it looks for all heck like an endscraper almost touching the point.

(?)

Great photographs. A bear claw how rare is that? Good looking points as always. What is the material ? In the 4th pic it looks like a hand effigy :laughing7:
What a good post and hunt. I thought I was looking at Larson dirt for a minute there
Congratulations.

Thanks Tn., I wish I could tell you what the material is. I dont find much of the grey blue stuff, it reminds me of some Ohio lithics. The dark brown stuff is Hillsdale from WV I think? I took some Larson like dirt pictures and man did I miss some stuff, the worked flint was everywhere.

very nice finds and pictures, that second point in your hand the one without the claw, what is that material? That material is beautiful, looks like in the picture to be translucent. WTG. I need a day like that. JYD...

Thanks JYD, I think it may be Hillsdale, but I'm not 100% positive. It does have a translucent tip and sides. Here's another point made of the same material with a semi translucent base.

some more excellent finds man! Does anyone else ever hunt these creek beds? It looks like virgin mud! :headbang:

phpCOc21LPM.jpg looks a lot like Sonora -- lots of little pinholes that look for all the world like impact scars from the comet/asteroid/whatever on other materials that were exposed then.

Appreciate the comments folks.

Terryo, I've seen many people hunt this creek, and have seen countless footprints. They all seem to be in the same areas though. I think I'm on a secondary campground a couple of miles from the easy access well trampled main site.

Uniface, I agree, it's the same stuff I called Va. sonora in your Va. lithics thread. Seems like only the high grade glossy stuff has the sonora like pinholes.
