Got out today at a new spot....friend of a friend's house nearby. He wasn't sure on the exact age but a listing when the house was last sold says 1810.

Was poking around the expansive front yard and came across a few keepers:

1822 Large Cent
1847 Large Cent
Pewter spoon fragments
Gigantic Axe Head
Handful of buttons, some pewter. The one pictured below had a lot of original gilt on the back and an interesting back mark.

Also found this buckle, a type I've never found before. It has a beautiful green patina, is heavy, and seems somewhat crudely made. Has anyone ever found a similar one? It seems quite old, just trying to find an approximate date range so I can inform the home owner. It measures 2" long.

Great finds! Love those Large Cents!
It seems like the buckle could have been used for many different things (horse tack, sash buckle of some sort). To me I think it's safe to guess that it's from the same time period as everything else (house 1810; coins 1822, 1847; button mid-1800s; the axe head looks like it's from that timeframe too.).

It was nice of your friend to connect you with his friend!
