Made it out to the beach a few nights ago and again last night. For the most part it is sanded in pretty well. There has been almost no tgts anywhere on the slope or in the upper areas, it's all been down low and hard to get to when the waves are crashing right where the tgts are.
The hunt from a few nights back netted a few junk jewelry pieces and one silver cross. The gold earring had me fooled at first as it looked good and rang up good but I could see it was plated when I got home. Something else, lol, that damn SS washer looked just like a platinum ring in the dark! Big bummer when I switched on the light, lol.
Last night wasn't much better as far as being sanded in goes and the amt of tgts but at least a couple of them were quality tgts! Same story again, really sanded in and almost nothing on the slope. I ran into two other hunters who up till then had found nothing either. Just after my turn around point I got a booming signal which turned out to be a massive silver ring which at that point kinda rescued a rather lack luster hunt. It was eclipsed about an hour later when I got a nice tone and a 7 on the Equinox while in the wash. I chased the signal around a bit (you all KNOW how that goes sometimes!) and after a few attempts got it in my scoop. Man was I happy to see that blue baby, even happier when I saw it was marked "750 18K" and has sapphires in a channel setting all the way around, Ring Daddy #23. It looked like it may have had a "mate" and I hit the area hard but it was all alone and there was only one small piece of foil in the same spot. Must be a fresh drop or just a really lucky pull!
Made my night and I'm sure the wife will wanna add this one to her collection!
Cleaned up nice!
