I have been hunting this location for some time but staying mainly in the wood chips. After talking with a friend he told me the fair used to be held here in front of the playground equipment. Saturday I found 3 mercury dimes. This was my first multiple silver day. I found the silver ring Saturday afternoon. Sunday after church I met up with a friend whose son received an Ace 250 for Christmas. I was showing him the ropes when I found another Merc. Since I was teaching him and we worked together. I let him have the dime. I found the Rosie after he was on his own. The second 1st was one of the Mercs was a semi key date 1921. So my total for the weekend was 5 silver dimes and a silver ring. My friend borrowed his son's detector and his very first find was a mercury dime. I had only found 9 silver coins up until this weekend. Needless to say I had a blast!

I love hitting the silver. Great day great finds

a day without pull tabs is like a day without sunshine.

Thanks all for the comments. Hang in there Davers. I have been doing this for 4 years and as I said this was my best day by far on silvers. I have found better individual coins but not near this many. I think I now know where most do the activity was, so hopefully there will be more. Joe Dirt, thanks. I actually helped his grandfather pick the ace 250 for his Christmas present. I want him to enjoy md'ing. I waited until I knew I had a site that he could find some goodies before asking him to join me. Hopefully he is excited now.

Now that's a good weekend hunt!

Congrats on all the silver! You hit a sweet spot! :icon_thumright:
