Couple of finds from a so called hunted out spot. Just goes to show you no spot is completely hunted out! I have hit this spot numerous times before and it has also been pounded over the years by other detectorists. Decided to look for the most inconvenient spots and directions to start from on the property and got results!

Very nice. I love those hunted out spots lol.

Cool ..Ill bet that Quarter has seen a Cigarette machine or two before it was lost.

Congrats.I don't believe any spot is hunted out.HH.

Nice finds. The Knoxville area has been pounded for years and I love finding what has been missed. The Springbrook park has been pounded heavily but I still have found a lot of wheats, SLQ, rings and IH's there.

Way to go Ed. Did ya use the Deus?:icon_thumleft:

great finds from a spot that's 'hunted out'!

Thanks Mark! Actually that day I was using my CTX 3030 at a historic home site, but I did find a nice 14k gold pendant 2 grams and a wheatie with the Deus last week at a park that gets pounded weekly. The park treasurehound mentioned above Springbrook, it is an old park that has been absolutely pounded over the years but still produces finds!

Thanks treasurehound! I still love hunting Springbrook and will always go there when I do not have any other good spots lined up. Found a 14k Gold Pendant 2grams and a wheatie there just last week and also found an old 1930's camillus pocket knife... (dont know how that one has been missed over the years...lol).

Those are some large finds, in a so called hunted out place! Wow! HH!

Always fun finding stuff anywhere, extra when it was a spot you know was hit hard.

I hunted Springbrook a couple years ago and I found a SLQ, Buffalo Bill token and a very old silver ring next to the water fountain by the bridge. Two elderly gentlemen were walking the trail and stopped to see if I was having any luck. They said they both went to school there. They pointed to an area and said that was where the old Boy Scout log cabin was and up by the school where the baseball field is used to be the football field (1940's). I went right over to where they said the Boy Scout cabin was and immediately started finding wheat pennies and IH's. Lot of nails from the cabin but I knew I was on the right spot. A friend of mine lives in Maryville and he hunts the lower area below where the school used to be and he has found a lot of silver and IH's. Most people hunt way to fast and don't hear the deeper signals so I don't ever believe in a hunted out site. I hunt extremely slow when I am in an old area. Barely move my coil. May take a while to cover an area but it pays off.
