Couple of Crotal Bells

I always seem to find these smaller harness ones with the petal designs. I didn't realize they were marked with sizes. These were from the same field. One is #0 and the other is a #1. Different maker marks. The one on the right has a star for a mark. I never know quite how old. I'm assuming domestic origin, mid 1800's? Although there is definitely older stuff than that around these digs.

Cool finds! I've found two Conestoga bells in my 3 1/2 years of detecting, but ZERO crotal bells! Not even a piece of one.

those are major nice condition. there were foundries in Cairo, NY & Ct. that made them mid 1800's
