I think both these would be civil war. What do you think? The bottom one has a backmark that says Castman and somthing else I cant make out. Thanks for the help.

Is the first button one piece or 2 piece? It's an 1830's to 50's navy button if it's one piece it will be toward the earlierdate. the other button is a Span-Am war period eagle button. They started using that type of eagle about 1878. The backmark is probably either Horstmann or Kenyon.
