Ok, that makes sense.. I was so mad when I dug it! lol, I yelled over at my partner "hey man, just got a seated quarter!!" when i started cleaning it up, well, it never would clean up :laughing7: I kept thinking 'what the hell is wrong with this coin??' Thanks IP

That will prepare you for the gold one should it happen, seen plenty posted over the years. I like counterfeits but mostly the older stuff. As I said I think it's a better find than just an average dug seated.

Too many times people group these with modern copies and that shouldn't be the case.

This is a good find--and a rarer find than a real Seated Quarter. A good, old counterfeit can be worth the same amount as a real dug coin. There are folks that collect period counterfeits.

It would occupy a proud place in my collection anyday.
