Re: Couldn't believe my luck today

being a good scrapper is jumping on those opportunities like that good job.

question for you: I have a lot of people throw computers out here, especially monitors. aside from the case and wires, what else should I be looking for and which parts should I take or leave? (monitors, towers, speakers, keyboards, etc) Thank you for your help

Hi there, is there an electronics processor down there that will pay you for the stuff? If so this is what you want:

Motherboards, fingerboards ( video cards, RAM Etc) CPU chips. Next in order in value are: hardrives, CPU heat sinks, aluminum based floppy drives. The older and heavier the computer the better, some of the older ones have lots of aluminum.

Keyboards and mice... I just donate them to Value Village up here, they are worthless to me.

Speakers, depending what they are you can sell them on Ebay.

If you are handy with electronics etc, if you come across newer motherboards that have been tossed, usually the only thing wrong is a few blown capacitors and if you know how to replace them, you've got yourself a decent MOBO.

Hope that helps
