Could this be part of a telegraph..or, It's part of an English style shot flask!

Hey all, Got to hunt a neighbors yard and found this item. We live in an area that saw alot of colonial and civil war action (like a major battle, found a Confederate Artillery button 2 doors down from this yard for example) and it was also farmed extensively. (this may be part of a tractor motor, I've seen a manual fuel primer on an old tractor that looked a little like this, minus the flap on the end).....or not.

I googled CW telegraph and saw similar looking things, again minus the flap on the end, which was found unattatched but probably came apart when I dug it. I'm not 100% sure it goes where I placed it for the photo but I'm pretty sure :tongue3:

My 3 guesses: Telegraph, Primer or maybe a cash register piece :icon_scratch:, probably all wrong...

Thanks for looking.

I'm 99% certain it is the lower gate & button from an English style shot flask.
