A lead slug seems like a good possibility to me.

On the left is yes, on right probably. They have been fired and hit something hard, at high velocity, fired and spent bullets at terminal velocity don't deform so much.

Possibly round lead balls that struck something.

They look like musket balls (round balls) to me; the one on the right obviously was fired and struck a solid object.
