could only find half of it..but what is it?

Looks like either an Eastern Star matron's pin, or some type of Star of David device, but

Mmm, I didn't realize WayUpNorth's item was beveled until Bramble posted hers. After seeing that, I think both of them could be 'weights' for scales, etc.

It looked like some type of figures in the center, but it might just be rust patterns. Is the hole round or square?

I probably shouldn't take over this thread with my unknown I thinking now the two objects are likely for different purposes.

Breezie.........it appears to be brass ..cleaned it up...but cant find any other markings

I might add...I dont think the center was a compleate hole through the (whatever) it is. I think i was just an indentation

DING! Winner. Definitely torn off of the end of a rod like a rivet. Fancy stamp on head also looks like a rivet.
