I got out today to one of my research spots, which has produced three large cents in the past three trips for my zoyncle...hehehe. I am glad that Silver Zeus graced me with his presence.

After about 30 minutes, I received a "half dollar" reading at about 2 inches deep. Once I dug out a little more soil out, I was greeted with a 1788 Colonial zoyper! I also dug three Colonial buttons in the same general location.

I hope you all enjoy it!

Sincerely,

the one and only bro of doy

What a day. You were definitely zoying out when you found that. Your favorite zoyncle is proud of his zoyphew.

Thanks, guys, for all of the kind replies.

Correction: After further analysis, doy and I can both see a 1787 date. I should have verified it prior to posting, but my spastic ways overcame any urge to wait.

After 4 months, I finally started to feel bad for you, so I un-rigged your datector. :D After a little bit of tweaking of the numerous knobs and lubing of the rusty bolts, your almighty White's is back in operation. Hmmmm.....I wonder why you didn't notice the subtle grunts and sputters throughout those months? I must have really perfected the art of deceit! hehehe

Oh...that's the reason why my detector would spit and sputter. Kirkie Poo, expect a "rig" in the near future... :-* :-*

Zoy,

That's just awesome! I've followed your posts (and you're uncles) and you're definitely a research-stud...wish I had a detecting partner with your skills!

Keep em coming.
