Core drilled rock found in woods

took a quick walk following some dear trails trying to score a shed no luck. But I spotted this obviously no power in the woods so someone would have to brought it. Is this a type of stone somebody might be interested in taking a sample? Or could it have some other use? Any thoughts

There is a thread that deal with this. The stone itself is worked. There is more on it than you can see. Use light from a dimmed room. You will be surprised of what you see

Stone quarries drill down and then use Dynamite to blow things up. Sometimes these stones are left over. I'm guessing your Woods was once a quarry or at strip mine

I was waiting to post this side until after someone said it was natural lol. Idk about the strip mine or quarry but I like the idea. Is that whole to small for dynamite? It's smaller than a quarter and based on the other side it looks cored not a solid drill bit. Idk if that matters or not.

yes it matters you are correct Dynamite would be a bigger hole than that and it would not be core drill

Looks like a modern drill tooling, no idea why? Maybe a sample looking for gold or other minerals in the rock?

I cut concrete for a few years and have done thousands of cores just wondering why someone would carry it out to the woods. Any other cutters out there look at the side clearance on the small hole

So it 'is on both sides? Please photo it so you can see the whole stone. I wouldn't claim any connection to oak island. But the fact you can think that is good. You guys will learn about my type of stuff one day. As you get exposure to it you will learn. So make fun all you like. I will keep on laughing back at you. The drill holes are there for a reason. Figure it out for yourselves. OP look up the information I suggested

No this is a big boy I'd say 15 pounds. That core is probably 7-8 inches deep. I wasn't on my normal river hunting grounds. And as far as type of material I have no clue

Bob with all due respect while there are certainly treasure signs left by people from the past out there you see mysterious markings in EVERY rock that gets posted. Is it your position that there were millions of people leaving these markings in every corner of the globe ? I bet it would be a hoot to stick you in the middle of a quarry and watch you spin in circles until your head explodes... And this time.. do NOT send me any PMs concerning my comments. NH, I'm a lot more educated than that. Like I said before. One day you and the rest will see. I'll still be laughing at you. So of us in this world are blind to what is right under your noses. I'm one that's not. Believing in yourself is one thing but following others that are mislead without the knowledge are fools. Which category do you fall in? There are things the So called experts on here have a hard time with. You need to get out and see the world around you. Open your eyes and mind. You only come on here to attack me?
