It looks like part of a copper Rocking Fountain, which stays in perpetual motion. People in our area use them to ward off deer in their flower gardens. They are generally made of copper or bamboo. Breezie

Moe, I think it is the outlet tube (spout) from a still. That's my guess and I'm sticking to it.

Yes, there is a pass through. The tube was found on the beach.

Have you cleaned the piece or is that the condition of the copper as found?

Maybe a pitot tube or flowmeter from a boat.

It reminds me of a gas vent tube from a small engine.

Looks like a vent, venturi or fuel tube of some kind. Some of my antique engines have a fuel pickup tube somewhat like that. Others have a vent tube somewhat like that. It looks the most like the fuel tube in an old pressurized kerosene lantern. Was it found on the beach (night fishing)? Tony

I thought about lantern as well.
