Copper tea/coffee pot???

Hey all. My wife and I just recently got bitten by the antiquing bug (apparently there is no known cure).

Anyway, I picked this up over the weekend and am curious what exactly this is.

Are the little nubs that stick out supposed to hold cups? Hold the pot up off something?

I'm not finding ANY markings/stamps/engravings on this anywhere. I have no idea how much this is worth (if anything) or frankly anything about it, so ANY help would be appreciated.

The nubs were to hold it over a warmer and tip it safely in the stand that it originally would have had.

Thanks nhbenz. I'd love to find the stand (or a stand), but it's still a cool piece, IMO. Like I said, I'm totally new, so any idea how I'd go about researching age/worth? Or even if it's a legit antique/vintage or a repro.
