✅ SOLVED Copper Tag

I was going through my box of "not sure what it is but will look at it later" and dug this out. I believe its copper and has the words " Whose Log Are You I Am W.H.George's Oneida N.Y
It has rivets on it so I'm guessing it was attached to a leather belt or strap. I found this in the woods in Central New York.

I bet it says Who's Dog are you. Dog ID tag off of a collar. steve

Indian Steve, Thanks for clearing that up. Have you ever seen a Dog tag like this?

I haven't seen one that old. Some hunting dogs were worth a lot of money and owners would tag them so they could get them back if they were lost during hunting. We had on oldtimer around here that would spray paint his name SMITH on his coon dogs.
