It looks like part of some kind of spigot or valve? Don't think it's musket related. Monty

I agree, wooden barrel tap, the part that is broken off is the longer tapered part that was driven into the hole on the barrel head. your valve part also seems to be broken off, though some would have a removable key. These are still being made by the way.

I guess thats it, but the ends are sealed but they may screw off to fit the T piece. Thanks!

I think your T piece has broken off and half of it is still inside. That may be why it looks sealed. Look again and let us know. The T piece you found is from another. Must be a location where many barrels were used or unloaded. Nice find.

Yeah, you guys are right, the T handle piece probably went to a different barrel tap. This is the top and the bottom of the other piece. I think it was permanently open and the piece that is missing went inside the barrel. Solved! Thanks!
