It would be cool to know what single link you use for all European patents.

I found references to patents on that date from France, Germany, Austria and Sweden but I dont see anything that matches in the drawings. There is mention of a gas burner but mostly they are machinery related..

It almost looks like a company logo or monogram. :icon_scratch:

Thanks for the info, I could not find anything in the USA patents either. As far as the patents in the list that you provided, I am trying to figure which one it could be. The only one that makes sense is # 6. When I first pulled it from the ground, I felt like it was something to keep you from burning your fingers. Hopefully someone has a box full of these helpful finger savers and knows all about them and there special purpose.
I dont think it could be a foreign patent because it is written in English. Unless the list is British. :dontknow:

My past research has told me that all patents are not listed and there are mistakes.

Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

That's the twist-top closure from an old tin of talcum powder. The back-to-back R letters were the trademark of Richard Hudnut (US headquarters in NYC):

Despite the patent date being in English, I expect it might be a French patent. The US Patent Office did accept registration of patents originally issued elsewhere but I thought they were usually given a new date. Under normal circumstances, registration in the US was via the patent bulletin traditionally published once a week on Tuesdays. That’s why there are no registrations for 12 August 1912… because it was a Wednesday. Perhaps registration of foreign patents allowed them to keep their original date.
