I picked up a few pieces at a local flea market this morning, some old bottles, chalkware plaques, a nice 3 pc mahogany bowl set, and some more vintage stainless flatware, but this enamel on copper sculpture piece really jumped out at me. It's about 16" long by 2 3/4" wide, and is sculpted in a shape that reminds me of some type of dish. It has a label on the bottom that reads "Studio Laurana Pesaro Italia", which I was able to find online, but the info was limited. The piece is also signed by the artist, though I can't make out the name. Any ideas on origin or value? I've laready listed it on ebay, but description ideas would be appreciated too. Thanks for looking!

Here's the listing if anyone wants to follow it:

Very cool sculpture, and you can't go wrong with stuff from Italy if it is cheap.

Well, so far so good. I've got two bids and a bunch of watchers on this sculpture, and the two of the four bottles I bought are selling well too. I collect old bottles from RI, and I also buy some for resale. Bottles are a tough one unless you know your local bottles and know which ones are common or hard to find. Local milk, soda, beer and medicine bottles usually do well, but again, you have to know which ones are scarce. I've been collecting for 10+ years so I have a good feel for what sells as far as bottles from RI and nearby Mass and Conn. I don't want to post the auctions here, but you can see them if you want by clicking the "website" button in my profile. BTW, I paid $3.00 each for those milk bottles :). The chalkware duck plaques are in there too. Thanks for looking!
